Program: Tara Miller: “Quilting with the fire of my Foremothers”

LOCATION: BETH SHALOM

On March 4, Tara Miller will talk in person, providing a lecture titled, “Quilting With the Fire of My Foremothers.”  She will focus on design, color, and the history of quilt making.  Tara produced numerous live stream shows in partnership with the International Quilt Museum and sponsored by Quiltfolk magazine.  Her YouTube channel is The Quilt District.  She will bring all this knowledge and skill to Indiana Heritage Quilt Show (IHQS) as a teacher. sew day

We will hold the March Sew Day on March 15, 2025 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. This is your chance for a "mini retreat" with friends. Guests welcome!! Come meet new people and get inspired! Bring your lunch and a $5 donation to the church. Come when you can and stay as long as you like.

Raffle Quilt

The 2024-2025 Raffle Quilt was unveiled at the September 2024 guild meeting. This beautiful quilt was pieced by Sandra Warren and quilted by Jane Pitt. More information on this webpage.

2024-25 Membership is OPEN

We will begin our new “quilting year” in July. You may wish to pay your yearly dues starting in July. Our dues year begins in July and runs through June the following year. You may pay in person at a guild meeting, by check via mail, or online via PayPal. New members are always welcome to join! You may visit twice before paying dues. The purpose of the Bloomington Quilters Guild (BQG) is to develop an appreciation for the history of quilting and quilters and to promote a continuation of the art in our community. One of our main charity activities is creating and donating community quilts to local groups. We offer many membership benefits.

We are a charitable 501c3 not-for-profit organization
with over 100 members located in Bloomington, Indiana.
